The Instituto de Nanociencia y Nanotecnología (INN) is organised as program to promote and coordinate the nanoscience and nanotechnology activities of the Comisión Nacional de Energia Atómica (CNEA) in Argentina. It is a multidisciplinary research program that includes basic research and technology activities as well as training and education postgraduate level.

The INN activities are developed at the Centro Atómico Bariloche (San Carlos de Bariloche) and Centro Atómico Constituyentes (Buenos Aires). These are research centres leading research activities in several areas and concentrating the most important and advanced laboratories in the country. At the Centro Atomico Bariloche (CAB) the Physics Department has about 70 senior scientists and a similar number of PhD students and Postdocs. The Instituto Balseiro, (Universidad Nacional de Cuyo- CNEA) is an academic organism based at the CAB with undergraduate and graduate students. The areas of interest includes nanomagnetism, electronics and optoelectronics, physics at the molecular scale, chemistry of the organized matter, nanomaterials and MEMS. At present there are 45 permanent scientific staff working in the program.
